Our hospital has recently introduced a 1.5T MRI system—the latest-generation 1.5T MRI equipment currently available in the industry. This device features a fully human-centered design throughout its entire workflow, making MRI examinations more comfortable and convenient, and significantly enhancing patient comfort during the scan. Unlike X-ray imaging, MRI does not involve ionizing radiation, posing no harm to the human body. It can perform diagnostic tasks that many other imaging modalities cannot, and has thus become one of the most important imaging techniques in clinical practice. The NeuMR1.5T Shengshi MRI system comes equipped with an extensive array of scanning software, providing a solid foundation for the clinical application of MRI and serving as a powerful guarantee for the development of even more advanced clinical applications. Which diseases require MRI examination? These include disorders of the cranium and nervous system, such as congenital malformations, cerebral ischemia, cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries—particularly lesions in the sellar region, posterior cranial fossa, and spinal cord. Also included are diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as joint and muscle injuries, early bone destruction and subtle fractures, various types of arthritis, and the assessment of synovial effusions. For thoracic conditions, MRI is useful in staging post-surgical cases of mediastinal tumors and esophageal cancer, as well as in the qualitative and differential diagnosis of hilar masses and lymph nodes, pulmonary nodules, pleural lesions, chest wall abnormalities, and distinguishing between benign and malignant tumors. In the abdominal area, MRI is indicated for tumors of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, bladder, adrenal glands, and prostate; it can also detect retroperitoneal tumors and lymph node metastases. In the female reproductive system, MRI holds great value for the diagnosis and staging of endometrial and cervical cancers. It is also highly effective in diagnosing ovarian tumors, screening pregnant women for conditions such as uterine fibroids during pregnancy, and detecting fetal abnormalities—including congenital diaphragmatic hernias and pulmonary hypoplasia.
